We work closely with the Los Angeles Unified School District, Strive L.A., and Children’s Life-Saving Foundation. The Wildlife Learning Foundation seeks funds to support the goals of the Wildlife Learning Center so that these in-need organizations that otherwise could not expose children to natural science education can experience nature.
Our relationship with LAUSD spans ten years. We teach to children at Title 1 schools (low performing and low income schools) for their Youth Development Program and their Ready, Set, Go! Program. We supply programs at over 160 schools to teach students natural science lessons and expose students to nature with the goal of improving standardized test scores.

Strive is a non-profit organization with the mission to “provide exemplary academic and guidance resources to children, youth and their families in the Watts community of Los Angeles. Strive is a safe-haven for kids from the thorny issues and extra challenges they face on these streets everyday.” Hundreds of students visit Strive after school for tutoring and academic enrichment in a safe, supervised environment.
The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to changing the lives of at-risk and shelter-housed homeless children and their families by providing basic, life-enriching services that totally transform lives. CLF provides educational attention and college preparation, housing access for hard-working families still living in shelters, and recreational and outdoor opportunities.
We have seen first-hand the need for more experiential learning, as well as greater natural science education that supports what students learn in the classroom and see in standardized testing.
